How much does junk removal cost in Salt Lake City?
One sofa is $126. A queen mattress is $103. A garage that’s quietly filled up for years is usually a half truck, $431. Every number below is what you actually pay in the Salt Lake valley — flat, quoted from a photo before anyone drives out, with carry-out, loading and disposal already inside it.
The minimum order is $75, and the quote you get already includes everything — labor, loading, disposal and tax.

The two ways a job gets priced
Name the things and you get item pricing — a fixed price per piece. If you can’t, you get truck-load pricing: you’re paying for the space it takes up.

What actually moves the number here
Less than people expect. Stairs don’t change your price, and neither does same-day. What moves it is weight, volume, and where the load has to go.
Cheap tipping, honestly passed on
Salt Lake Valley Landfill runs about $36/ton ($17 minimum) and Trans-Jordan around $42/ton — among the lowest we deal with, which keeps volume jobs here affordable.
Every load gets tarped
Uncovered loads pay double at the gate here, so every truck is tarped. It’s a small operational detail that keeps your quoted price from drifting.
Suburban bulk takes no furniture
Most valley suburbs will not take furniture at the curb at all, which is the single most common reason people call us.
Why the suburban bulk programme usually doesn’t help
Curbside programmes around the valley are built for yard waste and household rubbish, not for a sectional or a bedroom set — furniture generally isn’t accepted.
Add a housing stock with real basements, plus a second-home economy up in the Park City direction where turnovers happen on someone else’s schedule, and most of what we move was never eligible for a curb pickup in the first place.

Does the price change across the valley?
No. Downtown, Sugar House, Sandy, Murray and West Valley City all use the same flat list.
Will the city take my old couch?
Usually not — furniture is generally excluded from suburban curbside programmes here, which is why most of our calls are furniture.
Do basement carry-outs cost extra?
No. Stairs are included in the quoted price.
How fast can you come?
Same-day is normal if you book early, at the same price as booking ahead.
Is tax added at the end?
No. A Utah junk removal bill from us shows no tax line; the flat quote off the photo is the whole charge, $75 minimum.
Do I have to be there?
No, if we can get to it — a Sugar House driveway, a garage code in Draper, a marked pile behind the house. We’ll photograph the cleared spot and send it.
What does junk removal cost in Salt Lake City?

Is there sales tax on junk removal in Utah?
No tax line is added. Utah taxes retail goods and a specific list of services in §59-12-103, and hauling away a customer’s discards isn’t one of them.
Can you carry things up from my basement?
Yes — that’s the most common job we do here. Stairs, landings and split-level half-flights are part of the flat price.
My city’s pickup won’t take furniture. Can you?
Yes. In the WFWRD suburbs the paid curbside service doesn’t accept furniture, and Salt Lake City’s Call 2 Haul covers one bulk pickup a year. We take couches, sectionals and bedroom sets any week, from inside the house.
Do you cover Park City, Tooele and Layton?
Yes. The service area runs about 30 miles from downtown Salt Lake, so Park City, Tooele, Layton, Lehi and Saratoga Springs are all in, at the same prices. Canyon and mountain addresses may be scheduled around the weather.
Can you come the same day in winter?
Often, in the valley. Snowstorms and canyon closures can push mountain jobs to the next clear window, and we’ll tell you up front if that’s likely.
