Hill AFB and the Towns Around It
Hill Field opened on November 7, 1940, and became Hill Air Force Base in 1948. It’s home to the 75th Air Base Wing, the 388th and 419th Fighter Wings and the Ogden Air Logistics Complex, and it was Utah’s sixth-largest employer as of 2018.
The base borders Layton (population 83,286), Clearfield, Riverdale, Roy and Sunset. On-base housing needs gate access, so most of the move-out work is in off-base rentals, and it peaks between May and August.

Yes. Give us the inspection date and we’ll schedule ahead of it.
Do you pick up on base?
On-base pickups need gate access arranged in advance. Most PCS move-outs here are from off-base rentals in Layton, Clearfield, Syracuse and Roy.
Can you pick up on a weekend?
When a crew has a weekend window, it appears on the quote page.
Is there sales tax on the cleanout?
No. Utah doesn’t tax junk removal, so the flat price is the total.
