Basement Cleanouts: the Salt Lake Job
The typical house in Salt Lake City proper was built around 1965, and across the valley the stock runs from brick ramblers with full basements to the split-entry homes where half the living space sits below grade. Getting things out of those basements is most of what we do here.
Full Basements
Post-war ramblers in Holladay, Millcreek and Bountiful have a whole second floor underground — family rooms, bedrooms, and storage rooms that filled up over decades.
Split-Entry Stairs
In Sandy, Taylorsville and West Valley City the front door opens onto a half-flight up and a half-flight down. Sectionals and pianos have to turn that landing.
Storage Rooms
Metal shelving, food-storage cans past their date, holiday bins, kids’ gear. Shelving comes apart on site and goes up in pieces.
Finished New-Build Basements
In Daybreak, Herriman and Lehi the basement is finished and the garage is full. Move-in overflow goes straight from there to the truck.

Call 2 Haul, WFWRD and What They Won’t Take
Which bulk program you get depends on your city, not your mailing address — Millcreek, Holladay and Cottonwood Heights all mail as “Salt Lake City” but follow different rules. The short version:
City of Salt Lake City
Call 2 Haul gives each household with city garbage service two scheduled pickups a year: one bulk and one green waste. It takes furniture, mattresses and appliances — once.
WFWRD Suburbs
The Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District serves more than 86,000 homes, including Sandy, West Jordan, Murray, Taylorsville, Holladay, Herriman, Kearns, Magna, Millcreek and Cottonwood Heights. Its paid curbside pickup lists furniture as currently not accepted.
WFWRD Seasonal Container
One 8-by-10-foot container per household per year, reserved online during the mid-April to September window, for roughly a day. It needs a stretch of driveway most townhomes don’t have.
Everywhere Else
West Valley City, Davis County, north Utah County, Park City and Tooele run their own programs. Check with your city before you book anyone — including us.

Is there sales tax on junk removal in Utah?
