Prices and Quotes
What happens after I send a photo?
Each item in the picture is matched to the Salt Lake catalog and priced, and the total appears before you book anything. Missed a box in the corner? Add another photo and the total adjusts.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes, $75. A single sofa at $126 or a queen mattress at $103 is already over it.
Does a basement or a second story raise the price?
No. The same item costs the same whether it sits in the garage or at the bottom of a split-level staircase.
Do same-day pickups cost extra?
No. If a crew has an opening today, the price matches what you’d pay for a pickup later in the week.
How does truck-fill pricing work?
Large jobs can be priced by how much of the 16-cubic-yard truck they fill — $241 for a quarter, $732 for all of it. The quote calculates the item total too and bills whichever is less.
Scheduling and Pickup Day
How quickly can someone come out?
In the valley, frequently today or tomorrow. Pick from the open windows on the quote page; canyon and mountain addresses may take a little longer to schedule.
What if it snows on pickup day?
Valley jobs usually go ahead. When canyon roads close or traction rules make a mountain run unsafe, we move the pickup to the next clear window and let you know.
Does someone need to be home?
Not necessarily. Leave the garage open or share a door code, and you’ll get photos once the space is empty.
Who are the haulers?
Vetted, insured local crews working through JunkRabbit. Booking, payment and questions all go through us.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Yes — rentals near the U, off-base houses around Hill AFB, and Park City condos. Each unit can get its own quote for clean billing.
What We Haul
Will you take old paint or a propane cylinder?
Yes, at their own prices because of the special handling: a one-gallon can of paint is $30, a five-gallon bucket $52, and a twenty-pound propane tank $33.
Can you clear food-storage shelving from a basement?
Yes. Metal shelving is $71 per unit, taken apart downstairs. Expired cans and boxes can go on the same load.
Do you take pianos and hot tubs?
Yes. An upright piano is $290 and a hot tub $322, with the extra hands those jobs need.
Where does everything end up?
Usable furniture and household goods go to local donation first, metal and appliances to recyclers, electronics to e-waste processors, and the rest to a licensed landfill — always in a tarped load.
City and District Pickup
My address says Salt Lake City. Which program do I have?
It depends on the city you actually live in. The City of Salt Lake City runs Call 2 Haul, while Millcreek, Holladay and Cottonwood Heights — which share “Salt Lake City” mailing addresses — are served by the Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District.
What does Call 2 Haul cover?
Two scheduled pickups a year for households with city garbage service: one for bulky items and one for green waste. Furniture, mattresses, appliances and e-waste are accepted on the bulk pickup.
Does WFWRD pick up couches?
Not through its paid curbside program, which lists furniture as currently not accepted. The once-a-year seasonal container can hold furniture if you have the driveway space and can load it yourself.
Which areas do you serve?
About 30 miles around downtown: all of Salt Lake County, Davis County up through Layton and Roy, Lehi and the north end of Utah County, Tooele, Park City and Midway. See the full area list.
